However, similar dragonfly and pinecone designs may be ordered. Place settings of the white dishes may be ordered on a first come first serve basis. Orders will involve some time as kilns need to be filled with work before firing and the process is time consuming.
First the clay piece is made and dried slowly to avoid cracks. Then it is fired to bisque at 1800 degrees which prepares it to recieve glaze. The glaze is applied and the piece fired again to 2100 degreeswhich melts and bonds the glaze . Cone 6 is a mid-range stoneware, food-safe, stong, waterproof and resistant to outdoor weather.
